Let's get started

I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with trauma, grief, anxiety, or the effects of chronic stress, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths, and find alternative ways to respond to the challenges you face.

My practice specializes in treating individual adults with evidence-based, client-centered approaches. I offer comprehensive services dealing with:

Therapy for PTSD & Trauma

Posttraumatic stress disorder - also known as PTSD - is a mental health challenge that may occur in individuals who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, a terrorist act, an act of war, a serious accident, or a personal assault.

Therapy for Military and First Responders

The professional context of military and first responders is unique. My practice is grounded in what I have learned through my years of research and clinical experience with military and first responder communities. My approach integrates an understanding of culture with current knowledge about how our bodies and relationships are impacted by chronic and/or unexpected stressors.

Therapy for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life? Does it feel like you can’t control it no matter how hard you try? Does your life feel limited by worry? If this sounds like you, I’m here to help. My practice offers the most effective forms of treatment, to get the relief from anxiety that you deserve.

Therapy for Depression

Do you feel hopeless about the future? Are you struggling to find joy and pleasure in the things you used to pursue with ease? Do you think negatively about yourself and your place in the world? Do you feel incapable of doing anything to change it? I want you to know that you are not alone. We can work together to address the obstacles and restore your sense of meaning and purpose.

Grief Counselling

Grief and bereavement aren’t light-hearted topics. Bereavement refers to the process of recovering from the death of a loved one, and grief is a reaction to any form of loss. Both encompass a wide range of emotions such as fear, anger, and deep, deep sadness. The process of adapting to a loss can dramatically change from person to person, depending on his or her background, beliefs, relationship to the person who’s passed, and other factors.

Therapy & Counselling for Parents

It can be upsetting and frightening to have feelings about parenthood that don’t seem “right.” Talking with a therapist about what you are feeling and carrying with respect to parenting can be helpful, reassuring, and open you up to new possibilities. I have advanced training in both perinatal mental health and counselling parents of young children.
